Admin software for sailing clubs Background
Zeaeye needed a web platform where sailing clubs and associations could create, organize, and manage activities on the water. The admin experience had to support the mobile app used by sailors, including events, memberships, payments, trip tracking, and the practical content that keeps club life moving.
Admin software for sailing clubs The challenge
There were many stakeholders, user types, and good ideas competing for attention. The biggest challenge was deciding what to build first, what to leave out, and how to make the admin tool powerful without turning everyday event management into heavy software work.
Admin software for sailing clubs How we worked
As product owner, I worked across product direction, UX design, and developer handover. I translated feedback from clubs, associations, sailors, and internal stakeholders into prioritized flows, then shaped the admin experience around the tasks that happened most often.
Admin software for sailing clubs Key decisions
  • Prioritize event creation and management because it connected directly to the value sailors experienced in the mobile app.
  • Keep complex features like memberships, payments, and tracking structured enough for admins without exposing unnecessary complexity.
  • Use handover material that explained product intent, not only screen states, so developers could make better implementation decisions.
Admin software for sailing clubs The outcome
The web app became the operational layer behind the sailor experience: a place for admins to manage activities, content, members, and event details in a way that could scale across clubs with different routines.
Admin software for sailing clubs What changed
The work made product discussions more grounded. Instead of treating every request as equally urgent, the team could evaluate features against real admin workflows and the value they created for sailors.
Admin software for sailing clubs What stayed with me
A product with many stakeholders needs a clear point of view. The roadmap becomes easier to trust when people can see why something matters, who it helps, and what it deliberately does not try to solve yet.
